Hypnotherapy

Heart Shape Clouds

Does this sound familiar?

You eat to soothe negative emotions, especially at night. You want to change, but you're stuck in a pattern that makes weight control difficult. You know what to eat; you've gone on several diets, but at night you still reach for the things that you know don't serve your long term goals. Junk food keeps calling your name, and you keep answering... Maybe you see food as a reward, or entertainment, or you do it mindlessly to take your mind off your internal pain and turmoil. You're concerned about your health and weight, yet another part of you seems to have other ideas....

You can't sleep, either from anxiety over losing something important or from fear of nightmares. Your emotional stress keeps you awake and it makes you dread bedtime. Other people seem to sleep just fine, but you envy their ability to slumber so peacefully. The thoughts in your head go round and round. This leaves you groggy and irritable during the day. You wish you could just let go and release the day, falling into a satisfying sleep....

You've started smoking again due to stress from past events that haunt you. It's so hard for you to manage all the things you've got on your plate. The cigarettes seem like your only answer, but you know they're slowly killing you, puff after puff. You might have even gotten a serious diagnosis like emphysema or COPD, yet you can't imagine quitting... and yet you can, too. You know it's harmful, and others want you to quit, but you just can't seem to stop.

Rethink your ideas about Hypnotherapy

What if there was a natural, easy way to manage stress that’s more rewarding than turning to food or cigarettes? Imagine feeling calm and peaceful more often and using your inner resources to handle life’s challenges.

You might have certain ideas about hypnosis, based on what you've seen on TV or in movies. You might have certain ideas about it and not be quite sure. But if you've prayed, meditated or been really absorbed in something, so much that you lose track of time, you know that being in those states can be beneficial, relaxing, fulfilling, and healing.

With Ericksonian hypnosis, I don't control your thoughts or implant ideas. Instead, I guide you into a focused, creative state where you can access your inner strength. This helps you naturally gain control over your choices and take better care of yourself.

Clinical hypnosis can offer better ways to manage overeating, smoking, or irregular sleep. It’s like a conversation with your unconscious mind, helping you reach your health goals—whether it's overcoming negative emotions, sleeping better, losing weight, or quitting smoking. It’s a natural way to retrain your mind for better health and well-being.

Hypnotherapy for Smoking Cessation

Quitting smoking is tough. You may rely on nicotine for comfort or to manage stress. Smoking often accompanies overeating, creating a cycle that's hard to break. But if you sincerely want to quit, you can overcome this harmful habit.

Smoking leads to serious health issues like emphysema, COPD, lung and mouth cancer, and reduced stamina. Despite knowing the risks, quitting can be hard, and relapses common.

Hypnotherapy doesn’t eliminate the desire to quit on its own. It's a collaborative process that bypasses your conscious mental barriers, helping you care for your body with self-compassion. As you embrace self-care, the urge to smoke diminishes, often making the habit seem repulsive.

Ericksonian Sleep Hypnosis

Struggling with sleep due to PTSD, grief, or anxiety? Whether you’re losing sleep from nightmares or retreating into sleep to escape reality, hypnosis can help. It helps you disengage from disturbing memories or reframe them, allowing you to relax and focus on something other than trauma or loss.

While generic sleep hypnosis recordings can help, a personalized session tailored to your needs is much more effective. Sleep hypnosis can restore the sense of safety needed for deep, satisfying sleep.

Hypnotherapy for Other Conditions

Hypnosis is a versatile, gentle tool for pain control, grief, depression, trauma, anxiety, and self-esteem enhancement. It allows you to get beyond your everyday thinking, the way you've been programmed to look at your problem up until now. You can learn from the creative, intuitive part of your mind that is capable of amazing growth and change. It can be a valuable part of your healing journey.

Hypnotherapy Costs

Hypnosis sessions vary in cost. Some hypnotherapists with minimal training charge high fees. It's important to know your hypnotherapist is well-prepared for any emotional response during sessions.

As a licensed psychologist, I am trained to handle various experiences in psychotherapy. Hypnosis is one tool I use in treating mental health and substance abuse disorders, and I charge the same for hypnosis as I do for any other service.

Unlike others who may charge $300 per hour and require upfront payment for a package of sessions, I offer fair pricing. After each session, you’ll receive a recording to reinforce your learning between visits, helping solidify the benefits.

Why Choose Me for Ericksonian Hypnotherapy?

When you work with a licensed mental health professional who practices hypnosis, the value is exceptional. You want an experienced, seasoned psychotherapist who can help you heal efficiently and effectively, using this gentle yet powerful technique of hypnotherapy. People who say that they have a certificate in hypnosis are fine, but they don't have the clinical understanding or training to deal with mental illnesses or complicated situations.
